Having started with a vehicle and a used laptop, Jim has grown Keenan Technologies to a firm that offers services and solutions to small and medium sized businesses here in southern Maine. With more than 30 years in sales and customer service and over 15 in the IT industry, Jim brings a wide array of experience and passion to his clientele. Jim’s attitude towards his clients is one of professionalism and partnership, using his knowledge to help his clients successfully utilize the most appropriate technologies for their needs.

Jim takes care of the technical needs of several companies of varying sizes. Some of the industries supported by Keenan Technologies include but are not limited to: legal, financial, real estate, medical and general contracting, which makes him a well-rounded IT partner for all of his clients.

Jim has partnered up with Mitch Ogden of Data Corp LLC out of Tennessee. Mitch brings an immeasurable amount of talent to the table. It is due to his knowledge of Sage and other data technologies that we are able to offer the level of service others cannot. We work to fix problems, having the two of us communicate quickly and appropriately will benefit your company.

Jim was born and raised in Maine, he cut his teeth in the working world working for his family business in retail and business services. After college he took some time to gain experience living for several years in and around Denver, Colorado. While in Colorado, Jim did a lot of Skiing, Hiking and traveling to Maine to see his family. Ultimately, it was family and the desire to live in Maine that brought Jim home in 2001.

Jim and his wife, Audra, have lived in the community of Scarborough, Maine off and on for the last 20 years, yet have made it their forever home (for now). They live with their son Jim, their dog and two cats.

With 30 years of experience, I have been a part of many IT projects, great and small. From starting my own business (currently named DataCorp LLC) in Illinois back in 1992 to being the IT Director of a 30-employee printing company in Maine to IT Director of a 400-employee construction company spanning 6 states, back to growing DataCorp LLC where I now serve high-end clients in 16 states and 2 countries (and many other things in between), I have gained a wealth of knowledge and troubleshooting techniques along the way.

DataCorp LLC owns a significant number of servers in a large data center in Nashville, TN. Here we host numerous virtual servers for our clients who enjoy 99.9% uptime and nearly instant help to any server issues they may have (downtime has always been pre-planned and has been solely due to maintenance and expansion). We currently boast a 100% satisfaction rate from our clients. Due to growing demand, we have immediate plans to expand our footprint to other data centers for added convenience, security and redundancy.

I have partnered with Jim Keenan, founder of Keenan Technologies, which serves the greater Portland, ME area. He and I have worked together for over 10 years and have found ourselves to be the perfect complement to each other as far as knowledge, talents, and problem-solving capabilities. We have been known to hop on a plane to fly to each other’s larger projects to lend a hand. Our clients find us not only to be a great team but also, at times, provide them with comic relief along the way.

We are currently helping a multi-million-dollar real estate company in Washington, DC by networking their 3 offices, 25 on-the-road users, and my data center in Nashville together so they can work from anywhere in the world. We have other high-end clients such as jewelers, chiropractors, large print shops, and schools that are looking for better ways to handle their data storage and security. In addition, with as many years of experience in sound engineering, I work with churches both small and large to improve the audio/visual portion of their worship services.

DataCorp LLC is based in Oak Ridge, TN, where I live with my wife, Molly, of 29 years and my two sons, David (19) and Joey (22). We moved here in 2019 from Maine and really enjoy the warmer climate and have made many new life-long friends at our church and workplaces. Molly is an assistant project manager for a large commercial roofing company in Knoxville, TN. She and I enjoy fixing and flipping houses on the side and traveling here and there on long weekends. She is also a huge help to me in my business. David is an electrician’s apprentice and is moving along quite quickly in that field. Joey graduated Summa Cum Laude from Crandall University in Moncton, NB a semester early and is substitute teaching at local schools until he begins his graduate courses this fall.
